About Ruth Marsach-Wood

Dr. Marsach-Wood has over 25 years of experience providing individual psychotherapy to adults with a wide range of mental health issues. She has worked extensively with women and men around issues of depression, anxiety, work/life balance, relationship difficulties, change or life transitions as well as on individual personal and professional development. Dr. Marsach-Wood’s theoretical approach is integrative, drawing from psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy approaches.

Dr. Marsach-Wood is a graduate of Northeastern University in Boston with a Ph.D in Counseling Psychology and a Master’s degree from Tufts University. Her clinical experience includes placements at McLean Hospital-Harvard affiliated hospital and Northeastern University. Her dissertation research involved studying the effectiveness of treatments for women’s depression and the relationship of SSRI’s (anti-depressants) and psychotherapy as recommended treatments.

In addition to her clinical experience, Dr. Marsach-Wood has worked as a corporate trainer and consultant to clients such as Raytheon Corporation and MTV Latino to improve leadership and organizational effectiveness through management training, team building and focus groups.

Dr. Marsach-Wood was adjunct professor at Holy Family University and Delaware Valley University in the psychology department and graduate counseling program.
